Conservation:
Vallejo Sanitation and Flood Control District (VSFCD) Reclaimed Water Project
The CNPS-Willis L. Jepson Chapter is committed to working with the VSFCD on this project in that it will help advance the CNPS goals of promoting public use of CA native plants for general landscaping, home gardening, and land-use restoration purposes.

This project has the added benefit of providing horticultural information to both the VSFCD and CNPS concerning use of recycled water for irrigation purposes.

Most importantly, this project will demonstrate and promote water conservation by using reclaimed wastewater to irrigate CNPS native flora container stock.

We will supply CA native plants in 1-gallon containers to the VSFCD wastewater treatment plant facility to be irrigated with recycled water.

CNPS volunteers will cooperate with VSFCD staff in order to monitor container stock at the Vallejo wastewater treatment plant and to collect plant growth information that can be applied to a CNPS database.

Beginning setup:  Irrigation and infrastructure.
First installment of full-sun container stock.
Container stock monitoring.
